Moiya McTier is an astrophysicist, folklorist, and science communicator, who grew up in a log cabin w/ no running water (seriously, her family had a composting toilet) in rural Pennsylvania. Somehow, Moiya made her way to Harvard University where she became the only person to ever graduate w/ a double major in Astrophysics and Folklore / Mythology. Since graduating, Moiya has given hundreds of talks, designed exhibits for the New York Hall of Science, hosts the EXOLORE podcast, consults on TV/Film projects w/ Disney and is the host and Executive Producer of PBS’s Go Astro Mo pilot. She is currently writing her first book THE MILKY WAY: An Unauthorized Autobiography coming out next year through Grand Central Publishing.
